Dear Labview Community,
I need to implement a Labview programme which controls a piezo attenuator. I am a complete newbie with labview; therefore any advice/assistance is much appreciated. Until now, I have covered Labiew tutorials Basic-Intermediate and have used labview simulations for basic problems. I have also connected the Compact RIO to my computer. This programme is to be used for the Scanning Tunneling Microscope.
Things the programme must do:
1) Read the Tunneling Current.
2) User inputs Target Tunneling Current, Pixel Size, Step size, X Starting Position, Y Starting Position.-> determine scanning area.
3) Perform an automated XY raster scan over the scanning area.
4) By keeping the Tunneling Current constant, the Z-piezo direction must be adjusted accordingly (Feedback loop) for each scanning point.
5) Ability to control the integral gain of the feedback loop.
6) Record data from the feedback loop
7) Display topography and spectrography of acquired data.
If anything is unclear, please let me know.
Best Regards,

Hi
I am also looking for the help in this area except my requirement is for IR Microscope. I want piezo to move in 2D and record the light intensity data. I hope you might have done something as your post is long back ago. Can you please let me know how did you make to move 2D. I have already done it for 1D
