Hi,
This week I updated the firmware on the PXI 7344 motion controller.
I was running the same software on my RT controller for 3 years (code developed in Labview 6.1) without any problems.
I wanted to recompile my code on Labview 7.1.
MAX told me the firmware on the PXI 7344 was out of date, so I pressed the update firmware button.
After this the problems started.
My code is using the old init_flx.vi and other subroutines from labview 6.1. The configuration of the motion controller was each time read from the file 7344STPO.fsf.
The travel distances between 2 points is an input and this distance has to be executed in exactly 25 ms (hence the RT controller system).
Therefor I also calculated the speed of the motor to have a smooth motion.
I use the One-Axis-Move.vi to set the speed and execute the motion.
Most of the motion subvi's are still from the Labview 6.1 version.
Is it possible these motion vi's are not compatible with the new Labview 7.1 and flexmotion and firmware ?
I get the following symptoms when running the software now :
The direction of the movement has been inverted.
The speed of the motion is not correct.
Does anyone have similar experiences and tips to get me started again ?
Thanks,
Tom
