Problems after firmware update

Hi,
I installed a PCI-7356. I was able to saw it in MAX and, when trying to initialize it, I was asked to update the firmware.
I updated it, I reset the computer and when I initialized the board I received an error message (termination error).
I tried to reinstall the driver, but Windows goes blocked during installation.
I installed the board in two other computers, Windows detects it but when I try to install the driver the same blocking appears during installation.
Can somebody help ?
Thanks, Tom

What exactly do you mean with "blocking"? Have you tried to install the driver on a PC without the board being present there? Does this work? If not, it sounds like your NI-Motion installer is damaged. Please download the latest version from this location.
If this doesn't help you will probably have to send your board for repair to NI. In this case please contact your local NI branch.

Best regards,

Hi Jochen, thank you very much for your answer.
By "blocking" I mean that Windows stops responding.

How can I install the driver without the hardware ? Windows is searching for the hardware. Please help me on this.

Thanks again,
Tom

I have been referring to the install or setup routine (setup.exe) of the NI-Motion driver while you have meant the install process that starts when Windows recognizes new hardware.
After sorting this out please try the following:
  1. Remove the board from your PC
  2. Uninstall the NI-Motion driver
  3. Reinstall the NI-Motion driver
  4. Reinstall the board in your PC
If this doesn't solve the problem your board is proabably defective and you need to contact your local NI branch for repair.

Jochen
