RS232 (DB9 pin) configuration

hiii al

 

i want to configure serial port of pc(DB9)....i want to configure each and every pin manuallly..how can i do this?

and at the same time i want to see whether the output data is same which i have passed or not...and also the baud rate should also be same..

 

 

i have configured this port through VISA serial write .. but i am not able to configure each pin seperarely....

and for checking the values at the output i have ussed another VISA function..but the output data is not according to my choice..

please help

i have done all this you have told but the main problem is about the "start bit" in the output and i am not able to configure the port with start bit...that is i want the start bit also along with all the bits..
