Hello,
It is possible to set the actual position using NI-Motion and the PCI 7334. The current driver for NI-Motion is version 5.2 and can be found on the drivers and updates web page:

I would suggest using the reset position.flx and setting the position to your desired location.

Thank You very much for your answer. I have another question. I execute the home sequence correctly, why then my axis stop automatically when it reach the home input ? It stop both in velocity mode, absolute position mode, ecc. If I send a second start command it reach the final position correctly.

Best Regards

Hello,
What version of the Motion driver are you using? I would suggest using the NI-Motion 5.2. Also I would suggest disabling the home switch in MAX.

Hello. I wanted to comment that ValueMotion is not the proper software for the 7334. For that motion control card you should be using FlexMotion (now called NI-Motion). I believe you'll find the new NI-Motion 5.2 software much easier to use and more powerful than the ValueMotion software.

rblake is right. The behavior you are seeing was fixed in version 5.2 of the NI-Motion software. However, this behavior was only seen in MAX and not in LabVIEW. If you're seeing the behavior inside LabVIEW (or some other programming environment) then you should use the enable/disable home switch VIs.
