Simulink based motor controller

Hello ,

I have developed a motor controller in simulink . I was wondering if there is a DSP or FPGA based systems in which I can load  C program  compiled from this simulink model. I have a 3 phase inverter and a motor . Will it be possible to measure position and velocity and give it to this DSP or FPGA based system. Also will it be possible to use Labview to modify some parameters and also to view or record them?

Thanks,
Niranjan

In general you could use a cRIO system for your application but you won't be able to run the code that was generated from Simulink directly on the FPGA. On the other hand with the LabVIEW Simulation Module it is possible to import Simulink directly into LabVIEW and generate code for a cRIO system.

Hi Niranjan,

I was curious to know more abt. your project. I have a motor control DSP kit from microchip. I have been working on motor control using labview for some time. Where are you located??

Hello Giridhar ,

I am a Master's student here in US. It is just permanent magnet motor control but I need pulse width ( PWM ) down to 100 micro seconds. Will you mind telling me how much this microchip DSP kit costs?

Thanks,
Niranjan
