Hi, I am having a lot of difficulty trying setup some stepper motors. I'm using a 7340 controller with UMI-7774. I can initialize the drives with no problem, but cannot move any of the motors (using Max) because it thinks the limit switches are active. I have no limit switches, but cannot access that setting because there is no way to expand the motor axis settings i.e. no "+" sign to left of each axis. Everything seems to be working otherwise. I have an identical motion control setup on another system that works fine, so I tried importing the settings to uncooperative system, but still have the same results.
The MAX configuration tree is show in the attachment.
Any help would be most appreciated.

After more investigation I was finally able get some axis settings. The "real" problem appears to be that every time the PC loses communication with the PXI chassis (PC goes to sleep, is powered off, or I I just power down the PXI chassis), the 7340 no longer responds when power is restored. MAX tells me that it is "not responding or has been removed from the system".
If I got into (WinXP) control panel and uninstall the 7340, then remove the 7340 in MAX, then scan for new hardware in control panel, it will re-discover the 7340 and re-install it in windows (which tells me it is working correctly). MAX will then see it and sometimes communicate with it. Other times I have to play the uninstall/reinstall repeatedly with power cycling the chassis to eventually hit the working combination of events. This is VERY frustrating....
