Under LabVIEW environment, PCI-7342, Compumotor's stepper motor, and Compumotor's drive work well?

I am trying to control a fuel flow valve shaft movement. The degree range of the shaft is within 30 degrees. Adding a lnkage, we are planning to use a stepper motor from Compumotor (ES22B-SFR10). Since we need to use LabVIEW for data collection purpose, we want our PC (with LabVIEW) and VI to control the motor. A drive from NI is too expensive for us and I found GT-L5 drive from Compumotor. The motion of the valve shaft is very simple. Moving a place to another within the range of 30 degrees. What I need from you is telling me if we can control the movement of the valve shaft with the combination of:

-LabVIEW 6.1 Full Development Version
-ES22B-SFR10 stepper motor fr
om Compumotor
-GT-L5 drive from Compumotor
-NI PCI-7342 Controller

Thank you.

Hello,

National Instruments motion controllers can be used with any third party drives using a UMI-7764, which will give you access to all pinouts of the 7342 through screw terminals.See http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=3970〈=US for more detailed info on the UMI-7764.
