Hi
I'm trying to debug an automated system thats running on a MID7604 controller. I have some (limited) electronics backgroud and am a bit confused on the 'Breakpoint' feature of the controller. Basically I have a keypad with several push buttons on. The seperate LEDs that illuminate the buttons are connected to +5v and then to one of the 4 breakpoint terminals on the MID7604. The LED no longer lights and am guessing the software is not 'turning on' the breakpoint. Is the breakpoint like an interrupt?

Hello noodlesuk,
Here is the definition of a breakpoint in motion applications:
"A motion controller can be configured to generate a trigger signal or toggle the state of an I/O port when the motor reaches a specified position.
This specified position is called a breakpoint and is similar to a switch that is triggered after the motor passes a certain position."
