Hi NI Board,
I have a stepper motor running in open loop mode and a quadrature encoder to measure position. When I run the find reference function it will find the index on the encoder on the first approach then switch directions and search indefinitely. I would like it to stop on the index then jog to an offset position however I am stuck at simply stopping at the index Any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you using a 73XX? I can't open the picture you attached, so I just wanted to make sure.
You can set a forward or reverse limit as another point to move the motor. You can set the point in Measurement & Automation Explorer, and use another Find Reference VI with an input wired to "Search
Type" that corresponds to the limit you want to use. The options you should have include Home, Index, Center, Forward Limit, Reverse Limit, and Run Sequence.
