Hi marsalan1988@yahoo.com,

Motor torque is proportional to the current flowing through the armature, however, you will need to consult the manufacturer specifications for your motor to find the necessary constants you need to relate current and torque. Once you know this, you should be able to read the current off the module from the built-in current sense circuitry. However, there are some timing considerations which are discussed in this document: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370984T-01/target4devicehelp/9505_currentmeasurement/.

Hi M.Arsalan,

My apologies for the late reply. The constant is often referred to as the motor torque constant and would be given in the units of oz-in/amp or Nm/amp. You'll have to contact the motor manufacturer for this kind of information. Alternatively, you may be able to perform some kind of system identification to determine the motor parameters. Lastly, you may simply wish to purchase a torque transducer if you need precise measurement of the torque. Try searching the internet for documents concerning "DC motor system identification" or "determining dc motor parameters".
