That depends on the characteristics fo your system. Remember that every position or velocity move you execute is cgoing to correspond o a trapezoidal profile, where you will have an acceleration and maximum velocity section. Depending on the values you set for acceleration either through MAX, LabVIEW or your programming language of choice, as well as the maximum velocity you require to achieve will depend the time it will take for your motor to reach teh velocity. Remember that a system with high inertia will take tlonger to overcome friction and gravity than a low inertia one and that if you are using Servo motors, the PID values you have it tuned to will affect its repsonse too.
