motor starting current with NI9505

The motor drive a linear guide with a load's inertia of 31 g*cm^2. The inertia of motor is 138 g*cm^2. The inertia of the motor is higher than the inertia of my system. The load of 10-20Kg is on the linear guide. (see Attachment)

I must achieve high velocity and unfortunately I didn't found a gearbox with so high values. I made also the calculation for a motor without gear.

In this case could I have problems?

Always thanks a lot! 😃

Ricky,

relevant for your motor sizing is the complete inertia of your system (linear guide + load). On the other hand your lead screw already provides a gearing factor that reduces your load's inertia from the motor's point of view. So with this information your load's specs seem to be much more reasonable to me again.

If I well understood, the motor should in this condition work!

Thank you a lot for your time!

Best regards
