Hello.
The error information for error 70025 is related to the Return Data Buffer, which should not be involved with a motion firmware change. Do you see this modal error as soon as you boot, or does this happen only when you try to upgrade the firmware?
A few things that I am curious about:
Does this happen as soon as you boot the machine? Do you go straight into MAX and try to check the firmware status? If not, be sure to do this, then try to update the firmware. If you are going straight to MAX after a boot, then check to see if the board is in the power-up reset state. Open up MAX, click on the board, and switch to the Status tab at the bottom. If the red LED is lit, then the board should be in the correct state.
If the problem persists, then I would try to run a repair on the NI-Motion 6.1.5 installation. Just go to the Windows Add/Remove programs window and select National Instruments Software.
I have not seen any specific issues with Motion firmware and Service Pack 2. A colleague has a SP2 machine with the latest verision of Motion and all is well on that machine.
Also, is this the same board that is on both machines, or is it a different board?
Just in case, here is a link to the driver downloads page, if you need to uninstall/reinstall and would like them
