Hi

I am using P70360.

connentions are fine.

I think the problem is the status LED on the drive is blinking (green), when i connect the D-sub cable from UMI

and according to the steps in GETTING STARTED P7000 Series Stepper Drives manual, i am stuck at step 6 where the options to jog the motor are not active.

the globe on the drive icon is yellow, in the P7000 tools settings.

to understand better have a look at the attached pdf.

Thanks

Hi

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/372324c.pdf

check page 19 of the manual

my COM1 does not show any thing connected, nither i see the [1]untitled as shown in the fig.10 on pg 19.

but my device manager shows PCI-7330 board connected PCI Slot 4 (PCI bus 7, device 1, function 0).

Thanks.

Hi,

You said that the LED was blinking green- is this all the time or just when you are trying to do a move?  Look at page 37 of this manual: http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/P70530manual.pdf

hey

i am using P70360 motor driver.

and the status LED blinks green whether i try to move it or not.

but it stops blinking and turns solid green when i disconnect the D-sub to leads cable that connects the drive to the UMI.

there is another problem that my PCI board it not detected in the P7000 tools setup.

Thanks

Hi

Finally the motor is working, the only setting i changed is from your GETTING STARTED P7000 Series Stepper Drives manual page 22 table 16.

i have kept INHIN - active low & INHOUT - active high. which is not according to the table and the motor works fine even through a program.

Tell me if it is fine or  would i have any problems with it in the long run?

the P7000 setup still doesn't works.

Thanks

If you don't mind the motor spinning freely, then this should be fine:

What are the Inhibit Output Settings on my Motion Controller?
