Sorry, we do not have examples or source code to control stepper motor with NI-DAQ and CVI.
However it is possible to create application for axis control with a DAQ board (PCI 6221) under CVI, but using the softmotion development module and LabVIEW Real Time.
Otherwise to achieve your application, the best solution consists in using Motion controller (PCI/PXI 73XX).
With Motion controller, it will be easier and more efficient to develop your application. The advantages of using these solution are the possibility to use the Ni-Motion Library and NI-Motion Assistant to develop your application without programming.
