what is the simplest NI program to run a DC motor?

Unless you need really tight speed control, you don't need the Hall sensor.  Just run it open loop by sending an analog signal from the DAQ card(through the transistor) to the motor,as shown in the drawing in the PID app note.  You could use the test panels in MAX to verify that it works before you write any Labview code.

TQ..btw, what do you mean by MAX?is it instrument launcher?which have oscilloscope..

plus i am using NI USB 6343, i am confused with the connection set in NI myDAQ.could you please explained the port difference? TQ.sorry for the beginner
