Ariel,
This could be just that windows (or MAX) is not recognizing the device. We may be able to point it to the driver ourselves. Does your device show up in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? It should be listed in the tree on the left under My System»Devices and Interfaces»NI-DAQmx Devices. It should show up as a green icon with "USB-6009" next to it.
If it is not listed here, then the next place to look is in the Windows Device Manager. You can get to this by right clicking on My Computer and selecting the Hardware tab. Device manager should be a button near the top of the tab. Your USB-6009 should be listed under Data Acquisition Devices. If it is not here, then look for a unrecognized device (it should appear with a yellow question mark next to it). If it is listed like this, you should be able to right click on it and point it to the correct device. I dont remember exactly how to do this from here, but I know you can.
If your device is showing up correctly in Device Manager, but not in MAX, then take a look at
this KnowledgeBase. It could be the root of your problem.
If you do not have administrative access to the computer, you may not be able to do the above steps, so make sure you do.
Please give these suggestions a try. If they do not work, it may be helpful if you posted screenshots of MAX and Device Manager just to be sure.
