6232 cards interfere with each other

I have 2 6232 PXI cards installed in slots 2 & 3 in a PXI 1042 chassis.  It appears that the card in slot 2 is interfering with the signals in slot 3.  I am seeing 7 volts on some NRSE channels on the 6232 board in slot 3 when viewed with NIDAQ sw, even though I am physically reading 0 volts at the card terminals.  I am not reading any unusual / unexpected voltages on any of the terminals of the card in slot 2   If I unplug the cable to the card in slot 2, the card in slot 3 appears to read correctly again in NIDAQ.  Any thoughts on what could be causing this?  Thanks!!

Hi Eric,

That's definitely unusual behavior that you're seeing. When you say you are using NIDAQ software- do you mean that you are viewing these results from the test panel in Measurement and Automation Explorer, or are you refering to code written with the DAQmx driver?  Additionally, I would be curious to know if you still see the same behavior if you separate the two cards by one or more slots (so, putting your cards in slots 2 and 4).  And finally- what kind of signal are you reading in on your card in slot 2?  Can you please give a little more detail of your test setup and what you are measuring?  Thanks!
