9401 wiring to PWM encoder and pressure regulator

Hello.

NI beginner here.

I have a 9401 in a 9174.  and I want to connect a linear encoder and pressure regulator to it through the 9924.

I was able to get the signal pinout for each through the NI max and the help of the NI employees.

I am not sure what to do next or where the remainder of the wires go.

I attached the items I am using so you can see the wiring for them

Thank you

When you say "where the remainder of the wires go" - which wires are you talkin about? Also, you'll have to externally power your sensors, as your module does not provide power for your sensors.

Ok,  so per device...2 wires go to power and 1 goes to the 9924.  so for 2 devices i will have 2 wires going to the 9924?

For example there are 4 wires coming from the encoder and 2 shielded so 6 total.  the final wire says status so I guess i can wire that up to an LED?

Look at the wiring configurations in each of the manuals:

Page 3 for the pressure regulator

Page 5 for the encoder

and Page 9 in the following document

http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374068f.pdf

Then just match them up. Start at your sensors and work towards your module.

Ok, I think I understand.

I am waiting for some power supplies then I can fire everything up.

What confused me is I was under the impression that everything was wired to the NI9924.

Thanks, I will mark as solution once I have it connected and on
