'AI' won't read data; MAX reads data fine

I'm running Labview 7.1; I developed a simple DAQ application--1 - 5 volt input from SCB-68 board; (DAQ card is PCI-6259); 'AI' subVI will not acquire the sample--times out. I tried changing the "time out", it appears to work at a time out of 10 seconds! I need 100 readings /sec. MAX measures the signal just fine! I used a probe and data table to check values--the table does not populate. Connections have not changed from old DAQ system when new DAQ board and Labview were added--again, MAX measures signal correctly! By running in 'debug' mode, I can see that all but the 'AI' module (subVI) appears to work fine.

The only 'AI' functions are the ones in the traditional DAQ driver and they won't work with your M series board. You have to use DAQmx functions.

Is it a simple as converting the 'AI' modules to DAQmx?

I'm not sure I would describe it as 'simple' because none of the function names in DAQmx are the same as in Traditional DAQ. See http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4342.

Dennis,

Thanks very much for your help. I have printed the tutorial document you sent me the link for. A few long days and sleepless nights ought to do it.
