AO damaged on PCI 6259?

dear all,

I am trying to program a small application to control some piezo devices, by using the PCI 6259 AO to drive the amplifier and using the AI to read back the feedback signal.

Now, my AO0 appears to be limited at about 2.3 volts by a threshold, and to have kind of an attenuation, or slow response, on the "minus" voltages around -2.3 V, whereas all the other channels appear to work properly.

This threshold appears to be hardware and not software, as it manifests in the simplest setup (MAX and direct readout of the voltage via Multimeter). The Min/Max voltage configuration is set to ±10V.

The other AO channels are working properly.

Within the ±2.3 V limitation, the AO0  appears to work properly.

Now, I guess if I damaged the PCI 6259. The self test is responding that the device has passed the self test. Can it be that I accidentally changed the calibration of 1 channel?

How can I understand if it is a misprogramming or my board is damaged?

With regards,

Edo

Hi Edo,

I would call your local NI support to clarify this problem. It looks like an damaged output.

Cheers,
