Accelerometry

I am not sure if I am using the right board for my question but anyway:
We are looking for accelerometer and board that is able to measure at 10 Hz and aplitude of vibrations aroun 1-10 mm peak to peak.
We need to use it for feedback so it would be beneficial if there is something in range that could create a sinusoidal signal with amplitude around 1 volt as well.
It could be 2 different boards but in some similar form factor like FieldPoint for example.
I did take a look through the range of devices that NI could provide and found NI USB-9233. It woulld work with some IEPE accelerometer.
We would like to measure Peak to Peak amplitude of vibrations and monitor signal form as well.
We would like to work in LabView.
Is it the right option? Would it work at this frequency? What can we use as a signal generator with feedback?
Are the any better(cheaper) options?
Thanks in advance for any comments.
Sergey.

Hi Sergey

The USB-9233 would work for your application, however you would need an analog output board to generate your sine wave and you could use a PCI analog output card for this.

The NI-9233 can also be used in compact DAQ. You mentioned that if you needed two different boards you would like them to have the same form factor. You can get analog output modules for compact DAQ, look here for these. You will require a compact DAQ chassis for these modules, details about these can be found here. By using compact DAQ you can add modules to your system in the future.

Another option would be to use the USB-9233 and use a PCI analog output card.

Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for the response.
I'll go ahead for Compact DAQ system. Looks like it is what I need.
