Hello,
I am planning to buy a PC104express computer in order to use it for image acquisition coming from a camera link camera.
I have previously used the NI 1429 and 1430 camera link frame grabbers and i was very satisfied with. I am wondering if i can use one of these boards onto a PC104express motherboard. Are there any compatibility issues? If yes how do i make the physical connection. Do i need an adapter to go from the PC104 expansion slot to the PCIe slot of the NI framegrabber?
Thank you,
Christos

Hello Christos,
National Instruments does not provide any framegrabbers that support the PCI/104 system. I am not sure if there are third-party adapters that would make it it possible, but none are provided or supported by NI.

Another issue that occured is the OS compatibility of NI Vision. Which operating systems can support NI Vision?
I was wondering if it is compatible with Real-Time operating systems such as XP embedded, or XP CE
Thank you,
CK

LabVIEW applications that use the Vision Development Module have been deployed to systems with Pharlap and VxWorks. Here is a knowledgebase article detailing the real-time operating systems that are compatible with LabVIEW Real-time as well as our real-time controllers: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/D85F9139AEB88F188625745700569E8D?OpenDocument .
Hope that helps.
