According to this, you need a 6238 or 6239 for a current output, the 6236 got voltage outputs.

If you need current output you might look for a voltage to current converter (5B modules??)0-10V to 20mA should be common for industrial use ...

Thank you for your help. We have the converter. It would be of great help if you could help me out with the terms, like AI0, AO, PFI, D GND etc., mentioned for the pins in PCI 6236.

No problem, even if I never worked with a 6236 😉  , however more details would be needed.  A great help is MAX, for standard applications it provide a detailed schematic on how to connect stuff.

Pin 26 is AO 0    (analog output channel 0) and

pin 27 is AO GND ( anlog output ground), since only in theory ground equals ground it is recommended to use this ground with the AO0

So time to heat up the solder iron unless you have a breakout box 🙂
