Oh, I just noticed I misread the PTC10K-CH's manual. I thought it needs a "power supply of 5 V", but actually it is a "power supply between 5 V and 30 V". You are right, hooking them both to the same power supply solves the problem. (For others reading this thread: The USB-6434 needs "supply between 11 V and 30 V")

Hello again Eric,
I just had a look at this thread again and somehow the missing posting you mentioned is now there. It was definitely not visible before, no idea where it came from.
I am just writing this because I want to add a small comment on this part:

The manual says:
Single-ended input connections can be used when all input signals meet the following criteria.
Well, all input signals and output signal are greater then 1V, so according the manual i should use RSE or NRSE.
Actually the manual says you could use single-ended instead of differential, but it does not say you should. Differential has always better signal quality, the question to ask is if you can live with the reduced quality. If it is neglect-able, go for single-ended. Cheaper wiring and less pins used are the gain of it.

Thanks iKaiser.
I'll investigate if it makes some differences in our case and put the results here.
