Analog output problem

Solved!
Go to solution
I'm working on a project that gets analog input via thermocouple and by using the temperature data according to some criteria the system will give analog current . The problem is while giving the output from daq assistant,    only the voltage preference is avaible as analog output and the program shows PCI-6036E and the two channels of it. Is anolog current output possible or If I use the voltage output should my connection be from NI-6036E(it is inside the computer case) or  Could  I use SCXI-1300 like I used for getting input?

The 6036E does not have current output, only voltage output is available, which is why the DAQ assistant did not show current output as a possibility.  If you read in the specifications for a particular device in question it usually lists the analog output types available.

Thank you for reply.

My another problem was the ouput wiring connection. Daq assistant only have PCI-6036E. Will I take ouput connection from the daq card in computer case or

It is possible to have ouput from SCXI-1102 or SCXI-1300

The 1102 is only a voltage input module, which is why it is not showing up under the DAQ Assistant.  You will either have to output straight from the 6036E or you can purchase an SCXI analog output module such as the 1124 or 1581.
