App locks sometimes when using System Exe.vi to call QA NWA run files

Using Labview 6.1, system exec.vi to execute "run files" for Northwest Analytical software's Quality Analyst 5.1. The labview application intermittantly locks up without any error messages displayed. Does anyone have any idea of what is going on and how to fix it?

Hello,

Try changing the "Wait Until Completion" terminal of the System Exec .vi to false. The default is true. This solves several known issues with the System Exec VI, including intermittent hanging when accessing batch files and incorrect timing out.
