There usually are example programs you can use to test your DAQ device. In order to determine which example would be appropriate, more information is required. First, what data acquisition device are you using? Second, what language are you using for development? Third, exactly what are you trying to test? It's a bit unclear as to weather you are testing the Analog Input or Analog Output. If you are using LabVIEW 6.1, you can review the example programs by opening LabVIEW and selecting Find Examples. Select Hardware Input and Output --> DAQ. If you are using a language other than LabVIEW, you can use the examples that are shipped with NI-DAQ. Browse to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples. If you are using an E-series DAQ device, you
can use the Online E-Series Diagnostic Utility at http://www.ni.com/support/selftest/
