Can I use Calibration Hardware Adapter for E, M & S Series Devices Without the Executive

Is it possible to use the Calibration Hardware Adapter for E, M & S Series Devices (778056-03) without the Calibration Executive Software(777608-35)? I would like to use it and follow the "Calibration Procedure B/E/M/S/X Series For NI-DAQmx." Is the Calibration Adapter controlled by the DIO lines of the DAQ card being tested?

The Calibration Procedure B/E/M/S/X Series For NI-DAQmx mentions the hardware adapter a few times which would tell me that you can use this device if you are using the calibration procedures laid out in this manual.  So to anwser you question no you don't need the Calibration Executive to utilize this piece of hardware.
