I have a National Instruments PCI 6024E board for data acquisition. I want to measure an ac analog input voltage less than 100 millivolts. Can the PCI 6024E board measure ac analog signals in the same way that it can measure dc analog signals? Is it okay to use the board to measure an ac voltage?
I have since tried this out. I connected the ac analog signal to a PCI-6024E card as a differential input. The signal i tried to read was +5V. I got a reading fluctuating around 0V in Labview and on NI test panel. Once i tried to read dc analog it worked fine. Is there any difference in setting this board up for ac?
There is no difference in setting up the board for ac. It was found that the fluctuation in the signal was due to electrical noise which entered with the signal at the source.
