Can the USB-6211 be used with WindowsXP 64 bit

Our company has a USB-6211 Multifunction IO device, but the disks that came with it have been misplaced.

I have downloaded and installed NI-DAQmx version 9.1.1 software, but when I connect the USB-6211 module Windows tells me that it cannot find the drivers for the device.

I am running WindowsXP 64 bit, which I see is not specifically listed under the operating systems for NI-DAQmx version 9.1.1.

Can anybody tell me if I can use NI-DAQmx software with WindowsXP 64 bits, and if so what do I need to get this thing talking to Windows.

Thanks,

Charlie

I don't have a USB-6211 handy, but I do have a USB-6212 and it is detected just fine on a Vista 64-bit system.

I don't think much if any of the DAQ hardware are compatible to XP 64-bit.

Hi All-

NI-DAQmx (the driver for your USB-621x and most other DAQ devices from NI) is unfortunately not supported on Windows XP x64, and we do not have plans to support that operating system in the future.  As Randall mentioned, if you need 64-bit support, I would encourage you to use Windows 7 x64 or Windows Vista x64.
