Hello
I'm using a PCI-1408 card with a HP Compaq dc7100 PC running at 3 GHz (Pentium 4) on Windows XP and cannot capture an NTSC image through the basic Measurement & Automation explorer.
I know the signal is good (connecting to a separate monitor). I'm trying to duplicate two other similar PC set-ups using similar image sources which use the PCI-1409 and PCI-1410 cards and so have adjusted the card settings to match.
In the menu Advanced NTSC properties in Measurement & Automation explorer, have adjusted the Sync detect level to generate 2 different responses:
(1) with Sync detect < 50mV, the error "<IMG_ERR_TIMO> wait timed out - acquistion not complete" is generated
(2) with Sync detect > 100mV, the error "<IMG_ERR_VLCK> can't lock on video source" is generated
Reading the forum for solutions, I haven't found a way to diable hyperthreading on this PC (not sure if this is an issue). Also, have tried using previous NI-IMAQ software - i.e. version 2.6 and version 3.0.
Can you offer any advice, please.
Thanks.

Are the jumpers on the board set up correctly?

Not sure what versions of IMAQ and MAX will work with that card, the docs call out IMAQ for Win95/NT.
