Combo chassis communicator card?

We currently have a pxi scxi combo chassis with about 4 slots in the pxi side. We talk to the chassis by a mxi-4 card that is installed in the first slot of the pxi. The card in the last slot of the pxi is a 6251. I have been told that is what communicates to the scxi portion of the chassis, so there either has to be a 6251 or a 6040E in that slot. I would like to put a 6133 in that slot, would this prevent the scxi from communicating to the pxi?

deskpilot,

You may be able use the 6133 to control your scxi chassis as seen here.  As you saw in that document you will have to run in parallel mode and because this KB will apply.  So it ends up depending on what combo chassis you have.
