Hi, I need to select a CompactDAQ system for our project.
Does anybody have experience with USB 3.0 version or Ethernet version DAQ Chassis?
Which one is more stable?
My previous colleague had some bad experience with old USB version Chassis (Probably USB 2.0 or 1.0).
Thank you very much.

Hello Bingji,
Here are a couple of comparisons on USB and Ethernet DAQs. Specifically, I am looking at the chart under "Selection Guide for the Most Common Buses"
I hope this helps!
I would also recommend calling your region's NI sales department as they are a great resource in matching the requirements you need for your application with a system.

Hi, Eric
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry that I did not see the comparisons on USA and Ethernet DAQs you mentioned in your post.

I think this is the article Eric meant to send. 🙂
If by old version you mean the cDAQ-9172, all other USB CompactDAQ chassis are quite better.
As for which one is best, it depends on what you are trying to do. USB has considerably less latency than Ethernet, but on the other hand, you cannot use a 100 m USB cable to connect the chassis to the computer as you can with Ethernet. If you provide more insight about your requirements, we may be able to identify if one is better over the other.
