Hi All,
I have a unique application where I will need to simultaneously connect a multifunction DAQ unit (NI USB-6008) and two USB Thermocouple DAQs (NI USB-9211A) to one computer. I wish to read, display and save the data from all 3 cards simultaneously via LabVIEW. My computer has 3 USB ports, so is it possible to connect the three DAQ units directly to my computer? Or would I need a USB hub to reduce all three into 1 USB port? If neither of these methods will work, is there another option I could use?
This is not a long term solution (I'm setting it up for a day or two to run some tests) so long term stability isn't really a concern. Any comments at all will be helpful, thanks very much.

Hi pshadlyn,
You should be able to connect all 3 USB DAQ devices to the seperate USB ports. You should not need a USB hub to reduce them to one port. This would probably yield worse performance as I would expect using a USB hub will share the bandwidth on the port between all 3 devices. It would also probably be better if you had a seperate USB controller for the seperate ports in terms of high speed acquisition, but I think you should be fine with the rates of the USB-6008 and USB-9211As. Let us know if you have any issues.

Hi,
I am using two DAQ units NI USB 6210 and NI USB 9171 simultaneously to read data via LabVIew. Were you able to find any solution to this issue?
