Counter triggering with M-6280

Hi,

we are using the M-Series 6280 card. We want to use the ctr0 with a quadrature encoder x4 (A and B). Therefore we want to use the internal trigger with 80 MHz, but how do we have to connect this trigger to the counter?

At the moment we found only a solution to use the ctr1 (out) as trigger for ctr0 - but with this solution only 20MHz triggering are possible !?!

Is there any possibility to use the 80 MHz trigger without using ctr1 as trigger ???

What would there be an appropriate software command (we are using c library) ???

Also is there any possibility to have a callback function for a counter such as fo analouge inputs ????

(for example the counter calls a software function after 1000 samples have arrived)

Thanks!

Hi MTS-Sys,

At first :
I don't really know, which softare product you are using - Labview?

Second:
Do you need the 80MHz as trigger or as  a clock source?
Or what do you exacly mean with:
"we are using the M-Series 6280 card. We want to use the ctr0 with a quadrature encoder x4 (A and B). Therefore we want to use the internal trigger with 80 MHz, but how do we have to connect this trigger to the counter?"
