Custom scales grayed out in DAQ Assistant Express VI

Hello all,

            I'm using NI 9174 cDAQ to acquire several analog measurements (current) and control several digital outputs. I have used custom scales saved in NI MAX for quite some time and it has been working fine. Now, I'm not able to select any custom scales in DAQ Assistant express vi though they are visible as grayed out text in the drop-down menu. Also, the scales are not present in NI MAX. I couldn't retrieve them. In the past, I did something for the same issue, which successfully restored them in NI MAX, thereby enabling to select in DAQ Assist vi.

Could anyone please help me to find why this issue has occurred and possible solution? Thanks in advance.

P.S: I'm not running this vi inside a project. It is a separate .vi file.

I found the solution. I simply used the backup file of NI MAX configuration files to restore NI MAX database to older date. After restoring, the scales are visible in NI MAX as well as in daq assistant express vi.
