Hey,
I am not sure what I did, but I had the DAQPad 6015 working well and now it is
I am not sure what happened. I had my DAQPad 6015 working well. Then I left it alone for a while and came back to the project and am no longer getting good readings. So I went into the Measurement and Automation Explorerto do a test and the analog output only reads 10V, regardless of what reading the DC powersupply has.
Do you have have any suggestions of what could be going on? I have the positive lead connected to AI 0 and the neg connected to ground on the power supply and to AI GND.

Hi Katie,
Thanks for posting! If I understand you correctly, you are using the Analog Input of the DAQPad-6015 to read from a DC power supply. For grounded signal sources, Referenced Single-Ended (RSE) measurements are not recommended as they could create ground-loops. You should use either NRSE mode and connect your ground to AI Sense, or use Differential mode and connect the ground to AI- (for your device, AI+ and AI- are 8 pins apart so you could use AI0 and AI8). I would recommend differential mode if you have enough available channels.
For more detailed information about connecting your signals, I recommend that you take a look at our article Field Wiring and Noise Considerations. Be sure to take a look at the connection diagrams in Table 1 about a third of the way down the page. If you are still having any problems after switching to NRSE or Differential mode (you also have to select which mode you use in software), please be sure to let me know. Thanks and have a great day!
