my question is related to my software (Daqfactory )....( i dont know how to any other softwares, so i have to use it).. i need your help for my high school project...
i decided to use your 6224 device but am not sure that my software whether support it or not ??... i will use 20 switches with the timing value 0.0001s for each channel and i assume that 6224 samples rate is enough for this purpose.. i ask this question to Azeo Tech and i didnt receive a convincing reply..

Hi 56456,
Thanks for contacting National Instruments. DAQfactory is a third party software environment that I am unfamiliar with. I do not know if it supports the NI-DAQmx hardware driver (the functions that the PCI-6224 uses). That is something you WILL have to contact Azeotech to find out.
Something to note is that National Instruments offers a student version of LabVIEW for cases just like your project. LabVIEW is National Instrument's programming environment. There are a number of example programs already created for use with NI's DAQ hardware like your PCI-6224. I believe you could open one of these example programs and learn to use LabVIEW without much trouble since it is a graphical, or visually intuitive, programming language. If you would like to have a student edition of LabVIEW mailed to you, you can contact NI's Customer Service at (800) 531-5066.
With regards to your question about sampling rate, let me make sure I understand the question. You have 20 switches that you would like to acquire data from, whether it is data about the switches, or data passing through the switches I am unsure.
The PCI-6224 has a maximum sampling rate of 250 kS/s, or a delta t or 0.000004 seconds, which should more that adequately acquire any data you are concerned about.
Regards,
Mallori M.
