Designing 4-way intersection Traffic light

I am trying to create a circuit for a 4-way traffic light stop where the input from a DAQ with buttons and output from DAQ to leds to simulate the traffic lights and wants to know if anyone can give me a hand with how about i should go on this or hints, thx.

Hi,

I think this should not be hard to implement with a DAQ board, you would use the DIO lines to generate the required pulses and to acquire the state of the push buttons. The big difference will be the software that you use to program this application. I think LabVIEW would be the fastest way to do it, there are very simple VI's to change the state of the digital line and another to set any digital line. On other programming languages like NI's Labwindows/CVI or VB with measurement Studio this would take some extra time, but it would not be that difficult. About the connections, just make sure that you put a resistor to the LEDs to regulate the current taken from the card, and for the pushbuttons I believe there is a diagram that you can use in the manual. Hello Sir..i am trying to work Traffic Light signal in FPGA methode, using PCI 7830R Daq card.... i devoloped a VI ... VI is not running accuretly what i need... i dont know whether i done mistakes in devoloping..

.My Prob ...according to my VI.. all led start to blinking when i run the VI..... i dont want like that.... what i need is... when i press Walk 1 Button  Greenlight (DIO4) should be on at the same time Red light (DIO5) should be in On in opp direction...  all other LED be in OFF condition....similiarly when  i press walk 2 oppenent green should on rest should off..... what i have to change in my VI to get this condition.....? i am new to Labview hope u would help me
