Hi I am trying to design a PC board that connects to the NI9209 module spring terminal pinout. I am a little unsure as to what I should design my PC board to 'match' or connect with. Is it the pinout for the module or is there a connector or cable that the module will connect to and then that will connect to the board? In other words, should I design my PC board to connect to some intermediate between it and the NI9209 module, and if so, what? If not, should I just match my terminals to the pinout specified by the NI9209 manual? Thanks1

You will want to design a cable to go between the spring terminals and your board. Personally, I would have gone with the DB-37 connector version of that module and then you could just buy a simple 37 pin DSub cable to connect to your board.

Hi I was looking at the DB37F-DB37M LP cable for my NI9209 module and I was wondering if on each side of the cable there is both a male and female 37 pin connection. So if I wanted to use it as a male to male connector, I would be able to do so. Thanks!

Hi so I have found a cable that is compatible with my NI9209 module with 37-pin dsub but am wondering if I need a connector to place on my PC board so that I can plug the cable into the connector and then the other end into the module. Or, do I just design the board to connect with the cable directly? And if so, how do I find the pin spacing and exact dimensions for that? The dimensions of the cable do not include the pin spacing or diameter or anything of that nature that I would need to know if this is the case. Thanks!

Did you look at the specification at all? That cable has a Male connector on one side and a Female connector on the other side. I'll let you figure out the rest.
