Does my USB-6229 do high-Z within a digital pattern?

I am trying to set up an I2C communication line from my USB-6229, writing code in Visual Basic, but I can't make the drivers go high impedance within a digital pattern.  Is it possible?  I also saw an open-collecter option in the code, but it doesn't look like my device is compatible with this.

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

The USB-6229 is not capable of driving the digital lines to a high impedance state.  For devices that are capable of this, they will have a "wired-or" or "tristate" functionality listed in the specifications.  If you'd like to do I²C communication, I'd recommend the USB-8451 I2C/SPI Interface Device.  This device is very good at I²C communication and is very affordable.  This device should meet your requirements for I²C communication.
