Hi forum,
I am working with an NI USB 6251 and .NET (daqmx) and I need to know if this device supports ChangeDetection-Events.
http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4102/en According to this white-paper, the chances are not very high.
But there is a topic in the manual (there are many different devices included so I´m not sure)
and it´s also on this list: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370471W-01/cdaqmxsupp/usb-6251/.
At the moment I am using an edge-trigger and a dummy AI-operation but I am not sure if this is the way to go.
Best regards

Hi,
in the whitepaper is also a part:
Some M Series (Port 0 ONLY)
NOTE:[...]However, USB High-Performance, PCI M Series, and PXI M Series devices DO support change detection.
And as you can see in the supported properties ( 6251 Supported Properties ).
The USB 6251 is able to use digital change detection.
Hope this helps you.
With best regards,
