Error -200279 occurred at DAQmx Read (Analog 1D Wfm NChan NSamp).vi

Hi,

I'm trying to apply my DAQ-Pad 6015 for analog voltage sample acquisition using digital ref. triggered mode, but this attempt ends often with the subjected error. May be on the next attempt the acquisition runs normal. What can be the cause?

hello örgejani,

this error occurs, if you acqire data and do not read it from the buffer before it is overwritten.
how is the architecture of your application?
do you need to acquire data continuously?

kind regards,

Hello RobertH,

The hardware wich I try to use is a DAQ-Pad 6015 Multifunctional I/O for USB. The meaning of this error is clear for me, but the question remains, how to solve the problem. My application is a fixed lenght single shot acquisition on 5 analog channels, digital ref-triggred. The lenght is 1000 samples, the sampling rate is 10000 S/s. The most strange in the phenomenon, that some times the acquisition runs successfully, but on the may be next run I got the error message. I tried to use the Labview sample program "Acq&Graph Voltage - IntClk - dig-ref.vi". This works while I use one or two channels. Further increase in number of channel makes the probability of getting the mentioned error message higher. I guess, the problem lies in the  data transfer.

hello örgejani,

i tested with the same device and was not able to reproduce the error. i tested with all 15 channels.
do you have the possibility to test with another computer in order to see if something might be wrong with the USB connection?

kind regards,

robert

Hello Robert,

I tested it using my desktop computer with WIN2K, 256 MB memory, and with a notebook with 1 GB and XP with the same "success". In the mean time I asked for assistance at the local NI technicians, and they confirmed, trying reproduce my task they got the same error. May be this is a special problem in Hungary 🙂
