We purchased Cal Executive 2.0 with the hardware/software for calibrating E-series multi-function DAQ cards a few months ago, and I finally tried it out.
1) I have a HP 53131A Counter, HP34401A DMM, and Fluke 5700A calibrator. Each time I run the Cal Exec, I must manually select my cal hardware ((a)does not find the 5700 and no option to select hardware - doesn't usi it if I select the address, (b) does not find the DMM but works if I manually select type and address, (c)does not find the 53131A counter and no option to select hardware - doesn't us it if I select the address)
2) Cal a PCI-6071E: I have never been past the section of 'Performing internal calibration'. I ALWAYS get the following:
"An UNKNOWN interface e
rror occurred at:
Step: 'Internal Calibration' in
Sequence: 'Verify E Series AI'.
Specific error information:
Error Code: -10842
Error Message: UNKNOWN ERROR"
3) Cal a DAQPad-6020E (USB): I have never been past the section of 'Performing internal calibration'. I ALWAYS get the same message as step 2).
After steps 2) and 3), I click terminate, and Cal exe is locked up, and must be terminated with task manager.
All cal equipment is connected via GPIB and responds to the IDN query via MAX. The PCI-6071E passes the E-series diagnostics web page of NI's web site (even the internal cal); the DAQPad-6020E does not get past the counter test since the application locks-up.
Machine specifics:
Compaq 7998 (1 GHz Athlon), Win2K, 256 M RAM, Cal Exec 2.0, VISA 2.6, IVI 1.83, DAQ 6.9.2, Teststand engine 1.03.100, CVI RTE 5.510.4.0 LV RTE 6.0.
Any Ideas? Money is very tight here, and at this point I am quite upset with the results thus far.
