Are you referring to “Generate Dig Pulse Train-Finite.vi”? This VI outputs a series of pulses on the counter output – it doesn’t output a single digital value.
I think that if you need a digital signal to be output continuously, you should use one of the digital generation examples in the Example Finder. It sounds like you could use something like the “Write Dig Chan.vi” example. This will allow you to use a separate digital output to control your motor’s direction, rather than making use of a counter.
