I need to use an E series card-PXI 6030E to acquire analog signals (4-20mA and voltages) from 10 sensors. The question is how do I set up the hardware to communicate with a PC.I mean the connections from the sensors to the card and PC.
THANKS

There are so many answers to that question that it is beyond the scope of a forum post. You need some sort of break-out hardware (a BNC panel or a screw panel) plus the appropriate ribbon cable from the break-out to the board in the PC. Plus the wiring from the sensors to the break-out.
You will also want to consult the manual for your device- they have diagrams for appropriate ways to hook up the devices for various situations.
I would contact your NI sales rep- he should be able to help you peruse the choices. He might also suggest an introductory course in data acquisition. I think NI has those, too.

Hello KDGREAT,
Thanks for the question. Can you give me more information about any other hardware you may have?
Like WM John Weeks mentioned, your best bet is to call into ni.com/support to speak directly with a representative to discuss your options. Typically, our customers use some sort of break out with our multifunction DAQ cards to connect to the signal you're trying to measure. The PXI card itself will go inside of a PXI chassis, which can have an embedded controller, which is a computer you can put inside of the chassis. You can also control the PXI chassis with a computer through MXI or PCI-PXI connections, allowing you to connec the PXI chassis to the PCI slot on your computer.
Here is a general document on the PXI platform for additional clarifications of how this all works.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions.
