Hardware Malfunction

Hello,
I'm using PCIe-6259 ADC Card and DAQmx driver version 8.0.
When i upgrated my DAQmx driver to version 8.3 and restated my system the following message shows up in blue screen.
"Hardware Malfunction. Call your hardware vendo for support. NMI Parity Check / Memory Parity Error. System has halted"
When i reinstalled back the older driver it worked. Does this mean that PCIe-6259 doesn't support DAQmx 8.3? But i checked in the help file/read me file which said 8.3 supports PCIe-6259.
What else could be the problem?

Please let me know
Thanks

Hello Asha,

Indeed, that card is supported under DAQmx 8.3 and it should work without any problems, especially  the ones you are facing. I have tested this same setup with no problems.
At this point I would recommend the following:

  1. Uninstall the hardware

  2. Install DAQmx 8.3 (make sure you can boot up correctly still without the hardware).

  3. Turn off the computer and add the hardware.

Other options we have is to install DAQmx 8.5.
To have more input about this problem can you post back your OS and if you have any other hardware.
More information will give us more insight of where the problem could be,

Thanks Gerardo for your help.

I had already tried what you have suggested. steps 1,2, 3

Remove the hardware, Install DAQmx 8.3. Turn off computer adn add add hardware

But still i see the same blue screen with the same message

Regarding the system configuration, there is no other hardware installed and OS version is Windows 2000 SP4, 1,039,804 KB RAM

Hello Asha,

Thank you for the new information, could you post your computer brand, make and model as well?
Have you tried to upgrade to DAQmx 8.5?
Finally, I am not sure if you have a second express port you can try the card in (or different computer).
I wait impatience for that new information,
