How can I read a quadrature encoder using a 6036E PCMCIA card?

Hello,

I have PCMCIA 6036E card and I want to read a quadrature encoder.

I do not need to use the z index.

My version of Labview is 8.5.

When I try to use the DAQ assistant and choose the "angular position" option I get the reply that no supported devices were found.

What should I do?

Hi, 

The PCMCIA-6036E card has a STC-Chip that doesn't support position encoding since there is no Z support. It has to be solved in software, and using edge counting.
